This course is designed for graduates aiming to bridge the gap between engineering and design in a business or management context. The course is seeking to integrate engineering principles with design management, this programme offers practical experience through live projects, industry-standard facilities, and expert teaching. You'll gain a deep understanding of sustainability, lifecycle management, and emerging technologies, preparing you to lead in a rapidly evolving industry.
In 2024 WMG at The University of Warwick and The Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology celebrated their fourth and final cohort of Degree Apprentices at a ceremony held at Dyson’s UK R&D campus.
A total of 150 students, in four cohorts, successfully completed the BEng Engineering Degree Apprenticeship, through the WMG and Dyson partnership, which first began back in 2017. Together, WMG academics and Dyson engineers collaborated to ensure that the programme provided the best possible experience for the young engineers equipping them with the necessary skills and in turn addressing Dyson’s business needs.
In this video we spoke to Prof. Beverley Gibbs, Director of the Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology to ask about what the impact has been on the business.

Since 2022, WMG Safe Autonomy Research Group has proposed the groundbreaking safety assurance framework that has the potential to be applied across automated transport modes in land, air and marine.
We have worked with more than 38 UK and international organisations and 300 stakeholders to develop a common safety assurance framework. The framework has been recognised and implemented globally, including in Japan and Singapore.
