Traditional approaches involve the use of physical models, however advances in digital technologies allow the increased use of virtual 3D models, which can help to reduce development costs and time-to-market. However, it's important that virtual models are accurate and realistic representations of the design to support decision-making processes. With the advent of virtual reality technologies, a new level of immersion and interactivity can be achieved.
