Interns at work | Adam Fletcher MEC

Description

As part of his internship with composite manufacturer Composite Braiding, Adam Fletcher is using the equipment in our Materials Engineering Centre (MEC) to perform compression testing on carbon fiber nylon samples.

Supervised by sustainability expert Helena Simmonds, Adam is helping the company reduce the waste in the manufacturing process of braided parts from composites. In turn, this will result in reduced carbon emissions from the process overall.
