Meet Goliath, our innovatively designed indoor and outdoor Autonomous Guided Vehicle (AGV) testbed, built here at WMG.
The test vehicle was built to better understand, test and cope with the company requirements of the horticulture and manufacturing sectors with logistics tasks in normal indoor or harsh outdoor operations. The AGV aims to be a helpful assistant to companies by managing logistical elements around facilities, allowing people to be reallocated to more skilled and productive tasks and supporting current labour shortages and wage difficulties.
Although not yet commercially available, Goliath is now in discussions with technology developers for a new project that would allow the consortium to conduct the first commercial pilot in 2023. Contact us now to discuss how this project can help your company.

Micromobility UK 2022 was a great success and lots of speakers, exhibitors, and demo-ers coming together to present to the buzzing audience the most recent thoughts, innovations, and products related to micromobility. This event was the only one of it's kind in the UK, and aims to become a regular event to bring key people together as this industry begins to take off.

🎥 Watch to see how collaboration led to the creation of an innovative electric cargo trike.
WMG partnered with Pashley Cycles, Simpact Engineering Ltd., and Foresight Innovations Ltd to create an Articulated Lightweight Electric Cargo Solution (ALECS) trike.
Funded by High Value Manufacturing Catapult and the Niche Vehicle Network, the project won the NVN Nick Carpenter Innovation Award at LCV Cenex 2021.

WMG, University of Warwick and Deepen AI have created credit-based access to the largest public store of scenarios for testing automated vehicles. The Safety Pool™ Scenario Database, features over 250,000 different scenarios. Experts at WMG and Deepen AI are also working with regulators internationally to help evaluate the safety of Automated Vehicles using the Safety Pool™ Scenario Database.
This three-day short course is an in-depth extension of our well-established WMG Battery School short-course, with a focus on Battery Systems and Manufacturing. In industry, batteries are used in the module or pack level which are battery systems that composed of hundreds of individual cells that require thermal and electrical management. In addition, many companies may not produce cells, but they assemble cells into modules and packs to tailor their specified applications – the battery manufacturing, meaning a skills gap in industry. The WMG Battery Systems and Manufacturing course, provides the solution to the training demand, with the resources and technical capability to offer this training to upskill the workforce.
